Fable’s next chapter: Alwar Pillai passes the baton to Toan Dinh

Fable is excited to announce the appointment of Toan Dinh as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Alwar Pillai will transition to Executive Chair of the Board and continue to play a pivotal role in guiding Fable’s strategy and success.

Celebrating the impact of our founding CEO, Alwar Pillai

Alwar Pillai has led Fable since its inception in April of 2018. Her vision, authentic leadership, and steadfast commitment have led to Fable becoming a leader in inclusive design and accessibility. With Fable, global enterprises like Microsoft, Walmart, Meta, and Figma are building leading digital products that work for everyone by including people with disabilities in the design process.

As a bridge between the disabled community and leading brands around the world, Fable has earned recognition from the UN-endorsed World Summit Awards, Forrester, LinkedIn, Forbes, and Fast Company. As a UX designer turned founder, immigrant, and woman of color, Alwar’s journey into entrepreneurship has been anything but typical — and we don’t expect her path ahead will be either.

From all of us at Fable, thank you, Alwar, and best wishes for everything to come.

“Leading Fable has been the greatest honor of my life. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has supported our mission, and I’m excited about the immense opportunities ahead as Toan leads Fable into its next chapter of growth.”

Welcoming the leadership of our new CEO, Toan Dinh

Over the past year, Alwar Pillai and Fable’s Board of Directors conducted a search for a leader who could accelerate Fable’s global expansion, scale operations, and continue the company’s innovative track record. Above all else, an incoming CEO at Fable would need to understand the unique qualifications and tremendous value Fable’s Community brings to the tech sector.

The search led Fable to today, where we proudly welcome Toan Dinh as CEO. Toan Dinh is an accomplished leader whose experience and values align deeply with Fable’s stage of growth and mission. His expertise in scaling companies by building inclusive teams made him a clear fit. Toan has held leadership roles at notable scale-ups, including Boast.ai, Patsnap, TouchBistro, Quantum Workplace, and Achievers, where he successfully grew revenue from $10M to $90M+, expanded global teams, and helped raise more than $500M in capital.

Under Toan’s leadership, Fable is poised to deepen our impact with existing customers, reach new markets, and lead the industry with human-centered accessibility solutions. Fable’s mission remains unchanged: to empower people with disabilities to participate in, contribute to, and ultimately shape society.
