Fable Pathways is a skill development program for people with disabilities interested in working in the tech sector.

What is Fable Pathways?

We know that finding accommodating work opportunities can be tough. Learn technical and non-technical skills from subject matter experts with disabilities to help you get the job you want.

Fable Pathways is taught by people with disabilities, for people with disabilities. Courses provide unique insights from industry experts, and help learners build new technical and non-technical skills to work in the tech sector. Work at your own pace with free, accessible, and on-demand courses.

Fable Pathways course are:

  • Accessible (closed captioning, transcripts, screen reader, and voice navigation friendly)

  • On-demand – learn when you want and at your own pace

  • Taught by professionals with disabilities

How long are the courses?

Courses are anywhere between 1-2 hours. Each course consists of several modules, and you will be presented with both written and video content. Each module should take no more than 20 minutes to complete. You don’t have to finish the course in one sitting, you can learn at your own pace!

Is Fable Pathways completely free? How is it funded?  

Fable has developed Pathways with the support of ServiceNow and MIT Solve, CCRW, and Microsoft. 

Is it accessible?

We at Fable have worked hard to create an accessible learning management system. Pathways has been extensively tested using a number of assistive technologies, including JAWS, NVDA, Voiceover, screen magnification, Dragon Naturally Speaking, and Eye Gaze. Content is also provided in multiple modalities, such as video + transcripts.

Can I get a certificate?

There are no certificates available at this time, but we are exploring certifications.
