When you don’t experience the problem, you don’t solve for the problem.
Often, the process of building accessible products doesn’t include the people who experience the challenges of inaccessibility. The lack of diversity, accessibility knowledge, and access to people with disabilities results in product teams leaving users behind.
We’re changing the way teams think about building products.
We enable accessibility managers, user researchers, designers, and developers to connect remotely and on-demand to people with disabilities who are assistive technology users. We also provide full-service training, embedded research programs and expert-led workshops that help companies operationalize accessibility and move beyond compliance.
Leadership
Co-founders Alwar and Abid met when they began their Masters of Inclusive Design. They wanted to not only preach inclusive design, but to actually practice it, leading them one of their first projects: making e-publications accessible.
They hired testers with disabilities and developers and put everyone in the same room. The developers observed and learned how the testers used technology, what worked, and what didn’t.
Alwar and Abid soon realized that they were actually changing the way people think about how they build products. This led them to Fable – bringing the voices of people with disabilities into the product development process and decision-making.

Powered by people with disabilities
Our community of testers and survey respondents with disabilities is at the core of what we do. We employ and train adults living with disabilities, including assistive technology users, to share their digital accessibility experiences with companies that care.

Inclusion drives innovation
Inclusive Design considers the full range of human diversity with respect to ability, language, culture, gender, age, and other forms of human difference. It challenges the status quo and helps to build products that are more functional, adaptive and customizable.
By recognizing the unique qualifications of each person and practicing inclusive processes, it’s possible to have a broad and complex impact on societal systems. When we do that, we end up with products that are way more robust, way more customizable, way more adaptable, and ultimately innovative.
